The Securities and Exchange Board of India has directed to implement a Due Diligence Process to all Listed Entities for processing of dematerialisation request for which a static database specifying the basic details of shareholders holding shares in physical form as on March 31, 2019 shall be created and provided to the depository and any Demat request received after December 31, 2019, shall be captured and validated through this database and any mismatch in the details of the shareholder shall be dealt as specified.
